Hearts of darkness
Hi. Jake Bison from the Bison re-enactment club here.
Well, recently we performed a most interesting and gruelling re-enactment.
We did the 'Hearts of darkness' about the filming of Apocalypse Now.
In the photo above we are doing the napalm attack on the village, a most spectacular scene!
Of course we did not do the 'ritual sacrifice of the cow' scene, out of respect for our cow brethren.
The re-enactment was tough and demanding, just like the movie.
Many of our members had to reach deep down into their souls to perform some of the difficult parts like the torment and pain of Martin Sheen, or the moody broodiness of Marlon Brando, or the drug addled euphoria of Dennis Hopper, and the near suicidal Coppola.
In fact, some members had to take time off during rehearsals to escape the depression of being in this re-enactment. But we made it through and performed perhaps the best re-enactment so far.
Involved this time were: Monty Bison, Viper Bison, Mahatma Bison (over from India from the Indian Bison re-enactment club), Sulu Bison, Frog Andes Bison, Indigo Blue Bison, Well-timed Bison, Floating numb Bison, Teepee Bison, Speedy Jones Bison, Lululu Bison, Clematis Bison, Asimov Bison, King Lear Bison, 2656 Bison, and Euphoria Bison.
I would especially like to mention Viper Bison (as Martin Sheen), Sulu Bison (as Marlon Brando), Floating numb Bison (as Dennis Hopper), Monty Bison (as Coppola), and Mahatma Bison (as Robert Duvall). Their performances equalled the real actors and did our re-enactment club proud. Of course they were awarded the B.R.C. Golden Thespian award for their outstanding effort.
We are going to take a well earned rest and prepare for our next re-enactment next week, possibly the life and times of Olivia Newton John.
Bye then!
