The 1966 Football world cup

Hello. Jake Bison here of the Bison re-enactment club.
We have hit a snag with our 'Rise and fall of the Roman empire' re-enactment.
Monty Bison, who was to play Gaius Octavius, fell ill during rehersals and has been advised by Doctor Bison to rest for a couple of weeks.
As you may remember Monty played Francis Ford Coppola in our 'Hearts of darkness' re-enactment. This was a very tiring role for him and Doctor Bison suspects he has still not fully recovered from the trauma of the role.
Monty had his heart set on playing this role so we will delay this re-enactment until he gets better.
So after a request from one of our regular audience members we did a re-enactment of the 1966 Football World cup in England instead.
And a fine performance it was of this great (but sadly rare) event in English football history.
1966 of course was the last time England won the world cup, and a great victory it was.
Involved in this re-enactment were: Biggles Bison, Mozzie Bison, Normally Bison, Electric drill Bison, Carl Sagan Bison, Strontium Bison, Hank Bison, Tuscany Bison, Vivian Bison, Keep it Bison, J.J. Bison, Rimmer Bison, Happy Joy Bison, Ten point four Bison, Heaving Beauty Bison, Sugar Ray Bison, Ken Barlow Bison, Floating numb Bison, Capillary Bison, Van der Wahls Bison, Toothy grin Bison, The Shining Bison, Peter Tork Bison, Yak Bison, Spitfire Bison, Basil Bison, and Further away Bison.
The main players included: Strontium Bison as the distraught Jimmy Greaves, Yak Bison as England manager Alf Ramsey, Happy Joy Bison as Geoff Hurst, Mozzie Bison as Roger Hunt, Biggles Bison as Ray Wilson, Capillary Bison as Martin Peters, Van der Wahls Bison as Alan Ball, Ken Barlow Bison as Tofik Bakhramov, Spitfire Bison as Kenneth Wolstenholme, Keep it Bison as Wolfgang Weber, The Shining Bison as Bobby Moore (seen scoring the last goal in the photo to the left), and Heaving Beauty Bison as Queen Elizabeth II.
A thoroughly enjoyable re-enactment of this great match in world cup history.
This was our first sports re-enactment and all of the members agreed that we should re-enact another great sporting event sometime in the future.
Possibly we will do one of the many All Blacks victories over the Wallabies...just which one we don't know! And several of our members (including myself) are avid cricket players so we are keen to re-enact a great cricket match.
However, in the meantime we have decided on the recording of the Nirvana album 'In Utero' as our next re-enactment.
So, from all of us here at the B.R.C., have a great week!
