The first manned space flight

Hi, Jake Bison of the Bison re-enactment club here.
Well our one week break after the gruelling 'Hearts of darkness' re-enactment was extended a little but we are back!
As I mentioned last time, we were thinking of our next re-enactment as the life and times of Olivia Newton-John.After short deliberation with the members we quickly scrapped this idea...it seemed a little dull!
So we decided on the first space flight by Yuri Gagarin. As you might guess, it was a very simple re-enactment of this great event in space history, with only Mai Tai Bison playing the part of Yuri Alexeyevich Gagarin.
But it was a most splendid performance of Gagarin'S 108 minute flight around earth.
We learned a lot about space flight in the early days of Soviet space exploration and all about this great man, Yuri Gagarin...an inspiration to all!
Next we have a collosal re-enactment to perform, 'the Rise and fall of the Roman empire'!
So be sure to return to read all about this exciting project!
Bye now.

Hearts of darkness

Hi. Jake Bison from the Bison re-enactment club here.
Well, recently we performed a most interesting and gruelling re-enactment.
We did the 'Hearts of darkness' about the filming of Apocalypse Now.
In the photo above we are doing the napalm attack on the village, a most spectacular scene!
Of course we did not do the 'ritual sacrifice of the cow' scene, out of respect for our cow brethren.
The re-enactment was tough and demanding, just like the movie.
Many of our members had to reach deep down into their souls to perform some of the difficult parts like the torment and pain of Martin Sheen, or the moody broodiness of Marlon Brando, or the drug addled euphoria of Dennis Hopper, and the near suicidal Coppola.
In fact, some members had to take time off during rehearsals to escape the depression of being in this re-enactment. But we made it through and performed perhaps the best re-enactment so far.
Involved this time were: Monty Bison, Viper Bison, Mahatma Bison (over from India from the Indian Bison re-enactment club), Sulu Bison, Frog Andes Bison, Indigo Blue Bison, Well-timed Bison, Floating numb Bison, Teepee Bison, Speedy Jones Bison, Lululu Bison, Clematis Bison, Asimov Bison, King Lear Bison, 2656 Bison, and Euphoria Bison.
I would especially like to mention Viper Bison (as Martin Sheen), Sulu Bison (as Marlon Brando), Floating numb Bison (as Dennis Hopper), Monty Bison (as Coppola), and Mahatma Bison (as Robert Duvall). Their performances equalled the real actors and did our re-enactment club proud. Of course they were awarded the B.R.C. Golden Thespian award for their outstanding effort.
We are going to take a well earned rest and prepare for our next re-enactment next week, possibly the life and times of Olivia Newton John.
Bye then!

Captain Cook

Hello. Jake Bison of the Bison re-enactment club here.
After a few weeks break we are back into it!
We decided on Captain Cook's final hours as our next re-enactment.This was quite an easy re-enactment as you can see.
Involved were: Marsha Bison, Push-my-button Bison, Heaving beauty Bison, Fido Bison, Hank Bison, Jib Bison, Takeshi Bison (our guest from the Japan Bison re-enactment club), Banal Bison, Stumm! Bison, Bwana Bison, and Dolph Bison.Bwana Bison was great as Captain Cook! We awarded him the B.R.C. Golden Thespian award for his stunning performance.Takeshi Bison played the Hawaiian native who stabs Captain Cook. His performance was great too.
We learned a few techniques from our Japanese friend, and he also taught us a few Judo moves which have come in rather useful.
So all in all it was a fantastic experience doing the death of Captain Cook, a great man and a great death!
Catch you later eh?!

Titanic, the movie

Hi there! It's me, Jake Bison, of the Bison re-enactment club.
Today we re-enacted the sinking of the Titanic as in the movie.
In the above photo we are doing the part where the ships stern rises up and people start falling off.
We had quite a few members join to do this one, here are a few of them: Fredo Bison played Leonardo DeCaprio, Gwenyth Bison played Kate Winslett, Electric drill Bison played Billy Zane, Jum Jum Bison played the Captain, Indigo blue Bison played Kate Winslett's mother, Superb Bison played 'guy who falls and hits the propellor', and Fnoof Bison played the first mate. Also Teepee Bison, High-up Bison, Von Bach Bison, Radical Bison, and Java high Bison played the music group.
All in all it was a successful re-enactment. We fully understood the terror of the sinking and just how crappy the movie was.
We are now thinking of our next project. Possibly we will do the Russian revolution circa 1905 or Captain Cook's final hours. Thank you!

Aftermath of JFK

Hi. It's Jake Bison here.
Well, after several meetings of the 'Bison re-enactment club' we decided we are no closer to solving the JFK assassination. We did make some progress however. We are thinking now that Abraham Zapruder may have been involved also...maybe he had a gun inside his camera. Did you notice in the film that JFK's head was in the middle of the shot just as he took a bullet? Just like in a telescopic sight...uncanny huh?!
However we have no proof of this.So we have decided on our next re-enactment. We will do the sinking of the Titanic as in the movie.See you soon.

The first Bison re-enactment

All in all it was a successful re-enactment, although we are no closer to solving the mystery of who really shot JFK.
Stay tuned for updates!
