Rise and fall of the Roman Empire - Pt. 1
Hello. Jake of the B.R.C. here.
Well. I am happy to announce that Monty Bison is back on all fours and was able to take part in our 'Rise and fall of the Roman Empire' re-enactment.
While Monty was recovering the rest of us were busy planning this mammoth re-enactment.
We decided to do this one in several parts as the more we researched the rise and fall of the Roman Empire the more we realised that just one re-enactment was simply not going to be enough.
So we decided to re-enact the this one by telling the stories of the more significant Emperors of the Roman empire.
So the first re-enactment was of course about Caesar Augustus, the first Emperor of the Roman Empire.
As you may know, Caesar Augustus was the adopted son of Julius Caesar, the famous leader of the Roman Republic. He was a most revered Emperor who ended wars, and brought peace and prosperity to Rome.
The cast was huge in this re-enactment, so much so that we had to cast some actors in more than one part!
So I cannot list all involved. But the main characters were: Monty Bison as Caesar Augustus, Sigmund Freud Bison as Marcus Junius Brutus, Meiosis Bison as Gaius Cassius, Fluffy Wedge Bison as Marcus Antonius, Keep the change Bison as Marcus Ledipus, Been there Bison as Queen Cleopatra, Mai Tai Bison as Marcus Agrippa, Soon be there Bison as Tiberius Claudius, Steve Austin Bison as Postumus Grippa, and Warm feelings Bison as Gaius Caesar.
In the photo to the left you can see the victorius battle scene at Phillipi where Brutus was soon after to take his own life.
It was a most splended performance, and Monty Bison played his part well so well that he was given the B.R.C. Golden thespian award even though this is only part 1 of the series. Congratulations Monty!
Part 2 of the 'Rise and fall of the Roman Empire' will be about the reign of Tiberius Claudius Nero.
So see you at the next meeting!
